Palmares: The story of this top-notch engine is strongly related to the story of a top-notch pilot: Thomas Kemenater.
He came from Meran, a small scenic village on the Italian Alps. At some point in his life, he replaced the incredible speeds of skiing in the Dolomites with the much faster (and prize-winning) speeds of car racing.
In 2002 and 2003 Kemenater won 3 trophies in the FERRARI CHALLENGE CHAMPIONSHIPS: the Shell cup in the Italian Championship and the Shell Cup and the Pirelli Trophy in the World Championship.
The end of a hero: Many other smaller successes followed until 2007. In this year the engine was with the team Scuderia La.Na. With them he gave his final roar on the Brno circuit during the tests of the EGTS championship. The signs of so much effort are still clearly evident in the deep injury at the bottom of the oil pan. For the record, the car still won the championship with a new engine.
